Prestations comprises
DAY 1
We start in Troyes, taking the time to explore its historic centre and visit the Cité du Vitrail (Stained Glass Museum), a jewel of light and color. In the evening, check into your accommodation, very close to Lake Orient.
DAY 2
We gain some altitude at the Dosches windmill before lunch by the water. In the afternoon, we begin our hike with two loop trails, punctuated by a visit to the Maison du Parc (Park House), in the heart of the Forêt d’Orient Regional Natural Park.
DAY 3
We head to Dienville to discover its church and harbour, and enjoy lunch with a view. In the afternoon, we hike around the lake for a breath of fresh air.
DAY 4
In the morning, we visit the Brienne-la-Vieille Ecomuseum, a testament to rural life of yesteryear. Then, we hike through the surrounding landscape, with a picnic lunch along the way.
DAY 5
A morning hike, lunch, then a self-guided visit to the Wildlife Area of the Forêt d’Orient, where deer, Przewalski’s horses, bison, and moose roam semi-freely.
DAY 6
A morning walk, a well-deserved lunch, followed by a visit to the half-timbered church in Chauffour-lès-Bailly. The day concludes with a final hike in the heart of nature.
DAY 7
Next stop: the Côte des Bar for a hike through the vineyards, followed by a cellar tour and champagne tasting. The trip ends on a high note with a convivial lunch and a visit to the Cistercian abbey of Clairvaux.
